摘要：A sensor distribution network for detecting the presence of a target speciescomprises an optical fiber line having a first end and a second end. A light source isassociated with the optical fiber line, and transmits light having two or more wavelengthsalong the optical fiber line from the near the first end. A detector is provided at or near
the second end of the optical fiber line for measuring each wavelength of light reachingthe detector. The network includes at least one sensor device located on the opticalfiber line, the sensor device comprising a light reflecting member for reflecting light of apredetermined wavelength and a sensor member for receiving the reflected light. Thesensor member modulates the reflected light in the presence of the target species.
