Eden Hazard, commonly known as “The Belgian Diamond”, is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and captains the Belgian national team. He is considered to be one of the best players in the world.
Hazard was born in La Louvière, Belgium in 1991. He began his career in the youth system of U.S. Tubize before moving to first division club Lille in 2005. He developed in the club’s academy, and eventually made his professional debut in November 2007. In the 2010-11 season, he was named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year and helped Lille win the Ligue 1 title.
