摘要：An examination instrument comprises a support tube (16) which carries bystand-offs (112,114) a fixed optical head (12) and a movable optical head (14). A
potentiometer (42) within the support tube (16) is used to measure the distance between
the heads. One of the heads (14) has light emission means (74,75) and the other (12) haslight-receptor means (90a-90d) for receiving light passed between the heads through thetest subject located therebetween. Each of the light emission means (74,75) and thelight-receptor means (90a-90d) includes one or more fibre optic bundles whose
acceptance angles are correlated to one another to particularly define sampling activity.
