摘要：A multi-stage depressed collector for receiving energy from a small orbitgyrating electron beam employs a plurality of electrodes at different potentials forsorting the individual electrons on the basis of their total energy level. Magnetic fieldgenerating coils, for producing magnetic fields and magnetic iron for magnetic fieldshaping produce adiabatic and controlled non-adiabatic transitions of the incidentelectron beam to further facilitate the sorting.
